Uniforms

Detroit Innovation Academy is a Uniform school. Uniforms promote professional attire and academic success while reducing distractions and competition.

Breakfast

All students are able to enter the building beginning at 7:45 to make their way down to the gym. Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:00 a.m. Instruction will begin in the classroom at 8:00 a.m.

Homework

Homework is a necessary part of a child’s academic development. It prepares the students for collegiate and/or professional work. Classroom teachers assign homework daily, and is calculated at 10% of the students’ overall grade. Policies for turning in late assignments are determined by individual classroom teachers.

Grading Scale

A= 90-100%

B= 80-89%

C=70-79%

D=60-69%

F= 59% and below
